When purchasing wooden window blinds it is always worth considering the stack height of the slats when the blind has been retracted. As the slats on a wooden venetian blind are quite thick, the stack height can get quite large when the drop is high and the slat width is narrow. Care should be taken not to allow the stack height to get so large that it obstructs the opening of the window or door or blocks too much of the glazed area of a window.
If you are considering wooden venetian blinds throughout your house we also suggest that you give a thought to cleaning. Wood blinds probably have the largest horizontal surface area of all blind types and seem to attract dust and dirt more than any other blind. Unfortunately wood venetian blinds are also one of the most difficult blinds to clean and are often unsuitable for being put in contact with water. Therefore to keep your blinds looking great we advise a regular cleaning and dusting regime be established to prevent dirt and dust building up.
Use:
Slats can be rotated around its own point with special control cord help. By pulling it the blinds can be rotated parallel to the window and in this position they do not let through the daylight, but in perpendicular position the blinds are maximally opened to the daylight.
You can lift the blinds by pulling the control cord. Lowering the blinds is done by pulling the control cord in direction of the center, that way the latch is freed and after that slowly releasing the cord. We recommend lifting blinds when slats are parallel to the window. You have to be careful so the animals and children don’t entangle in the cords while playing.
